New Board Members

The ANC Nomination Committee has returned with 5 prospective board members. With the gifts and talents they all possess, your current Board has unanimously agreed that we should add them ALL to the current board in accordance to the UMC Book of Discipline. 

  • Adrian Queen

    Adrian Queen, a Louisiana native, has been in the Austin area for over 10 years. Along with her husband and 2 sons, Roman and Micah,she has made Austin New Church her church home for over 3 years. She looks forward to finding new ways to be of service to not only the congregation but the community it services. Adrian is currently an emergency department supervisor and has been an emergency room nurse for over 11 years. Her hobbies include hiking, yoga, baking, trying new things with friends, and all things LSU tigers football....GEAUX TIGERS!

  • Jennifer Saenz

    Jennifer Saenz is the senior director of strategic initiatives and continuous improvement for E3 Alliance. Prior to joining E3, Jennifer was the director of strategic partnerships and outreach for OnRamps, The University of Texas-led program established in 2011 to address the misalignment of academic expectations between high school and college and increase the diversity among post-secondary education completion. Serving tens of thousands of students, educators and school campuses across Texas, Jennifer helped grow OnRamps to be a statewide resource in the college credit-bearing space. A leading expert on educational transformation, postsecondary readiness, transition and persistence, Jennifer has spent the last 23 years working in both the public and private sector in education focused on access and equity. 

    Prior to joining OnRamps in 2014, Jennifer was the director of curriculum with a private education technology company and a program manager at the Texas Education Agency where she served migrant students.   

    From 2001 to 2009, Jennifer was the chief academic officer for a private college-preparation company developing curriculum to equalize the playing field for all students in Texas.

    Jennifer has served on the Texas Educational committees for grade placement, migrant education, and the gifted and talented. She is a graduate of Texas State University, and holds both a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in education, reading and administration. 

  • Christopher Ramirez

    Chris has been with ANC since March 2018 and is not only new to the church but new to faith. Like others, he sought out ANC to find a community, clarity on the LGBTQ issue, and a safe space to explore and question faith. ANC has given him a local family and a space to explore God, and wants that for everyone. Chris is currently the Director of Accounting at his company which he has been with for 7 years, and is responsible for a wide range of financial operations. He believes in ANC’s vision and is excited to help where he can. 

  • Terra Brimberry

    Terra was raised by missionary parents in Seoul, Korea, who taught her the true meaning of God's grace and instilled in her a love for people and a heart for hospitality. Terra has never not been a part of a church family, and about 2 years ago decided that she needed to leave the church of her heritage and find a church that was more aligned to her need for a table that had room for everyone. She's been married to her wonderful husband, Don for almost 33 years and they have two adult children. Terra works in Account Management for a software company, but started a career as a social worker, and still feels like that is a big part of her DNA.

  • Tim weng

    Tim is a Chicago native, a father to 2 young kids, 2.5 y/o son and 5 y/o daughter.

    For work, he is a computational neuroscientist for a research lab at UT Dell Medical School.

    For fun, he enjoys trail running, home improvement, cooking, woodworking.
